Welcome

The Meon Riding Club was established in 1968, and operates in East Hampshire, England. Membership consists of riders from many towns and villages within the Portsmouth / Southampton corridor, and inland up the Meon Valley.

We aim to improve the facilities for riders within the area, whilst providing a friendly atmosphere for recreational or competitive riding. The Club is affiliated to the British Riding Club (BRC) movement, which in turn is affiliated to The British Horse Society.

Membership is open to horse-riders of at least 18 years of age, whether the interest is for weekend hacking, or for more competitive events. Many Pony Club members naturally graduate to the Riding Club as they broaden their experience.

Members benefit from an active training programme in all discipines. Several local venues are used, and our trainers have proved to be very popular. Courses are run at advantageous rates, and in small groups to maximise the benefit to members.

As well as our own events, the Club actively participates in BRC Area qualifiers for the Championships. This year, the hard work put in by members was rewarded by qualifying for Open Show Jumping Championship at Lincoln, (placed second); for Riding Test Championship (9th), and Open Horse Trials Championship (9th).
Our crowning glory however, was to win the Novice Section of the Festival of the Hunter Championship.
